Hello Abetterfutureahead
If you've taken advice and BR is the way to go, I'm sure you won't regret it. It's a scary process, but I know I have made the right decision.
Thanks, OutofDebt, I guess the OR is a human after all. I just hope I get someone who can put me at ease. Thanks for the advice on the car too. I guess I'm assuming the worst and hoping for the best.
I wonder if it's possible (if the OR take the car) that a member of my family makes an offer to buy it from the OR and gift it to me? Is that allowed? So many questions. I guess I should wait to speak to the OR.
Thanks everyone!

You might be better to suggest that a family member gift you the £300 (being the excess value on the car) and pass that onto the OR - the OR will let you know if that's acceptable - I don't see why it shouldn't be as they're still getting the extra £300 they would be looking for!"Whether you think you can, or you think you can't -- you're right" - Henry Ford0 -
Hi fellow BRs!
I'm up in Scotland and sent off my paperwork to the AIB on 9th April. On the 13th April I called to check they had received my paperwork and was told that I had been awarded bankruptcy.
Can't quite believe how quickly it's all gone through, after months, if not years of deliberating over it.
Just waiting on the paperwork coming through so I know what's what.

Spleen that would not be a problem, that is what my daughter did with our car:):pB&SC No. 298

Hi everyone.
Just filling in my forms now and hope to get them to the court in the morning. Reading all the posts on here has helped so much. I feel so ashamed i am unable to pay back money i borrowed in good faith but look forward to being able to aswer the door without worrying who it will be.
Will keep u all posted on my progress.0 -
Good luck!
I think the hardest part of it all is making the decision to go bankrupt. It's such a huge step - but it's an easier step than I thought.
Like you, I borrowed in good faith, with no idea on what the future would have in store. I've been considering bankruptcy for years but just didn't want to take the final step.
All the best. xhpeckham62651 wrote: »Hi everyone.

Hi everyone, welcome to the April 2012
Bankruptcy Club.
This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during April 2012. So please feel free to join and post.
Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.
Remember this is your board so keep posting.
Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.
Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.
Please leave a post when you have been declared BR, and I will update the list.
*PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE TOO MUCH INFO, THE IS ARE KNOWN TO FREQUENT THIS SITE AND TOO MUCH INFO MAY MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL CASES, SO KEEP INFO TO A MINIMUM, ie USERNAME AND DATE ONLY*
