Just had a letter from 'Zenith Collections', notice of debt recovery assignment.
Stating the amount owing is £120 but they are willing to accept £99.

If they are offering reduced amounts then I think you are near the end.
Ask yourself this - if they truly believed they had a cast iron case against you for £120, why are they willing to accept £99.
A. Because £99 is better than £0.
You should give them £0.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
I wonder what they were "assigned" strange how they never purchase these parking charges?
I wonder why, well I don't really?0 -

In my experience they are somewhat inconsistent.
Sometimes they have given up with me after 3 CP Plus letters.
Other times they have followed up with 3 from Debt Recovery Plus as well before realising they aren't going to be getting any response or money from me.
When they get really desperate after receiving the 6 above they then try again only using a different company name, Zenith Collections. Its the same bunch of scammers, they're even stupid enough to use the same signature for two different staff from 'different' debt collectors, one male and the other female, what more proof do you need as to the dishonesty of these vermin.
As advised on the forum and elsewhere I've ignored them all.(Not strictly true, I must admit I smile when they write to me wasting more of their ill gotten gains).
I guess the point at which they give up depends on which monkey is in the office (damp rotting portacabin in the corner of a scrap yard smelling of rat urine) on any particular day.
Just smile as each attempt at extortion arrives:laugh:, safe in the knowledge that they are powerless confidence tricksters who will only be able to steal your money if you let them. Each time they try it on and fail brings forward the day when their 'business model' will collapse.:rotfl:
Their letters also help keep my friendly postie employed which is a very good thing. Thanks CP+, DR+ and Zenith on his behalf!0 -
