Re Help please PCN ticket issued Warrington 28-3-12

Options
Any help or advice would be appreciated regarding a PCN ticket.

This morning i parked my car on a very pavement in Warrington. when i came back to my car in the afternoon a PCN ticket was attached to my windscreen.

I had parked here previously on many occasions

Apparently two thirds of the pavement is owned by the local council and the other third is owned by the rugby club.

The boundary is just a concrete edege laid flat within the tarmac

The area where i parked was on the bit that the rugby club owns and there is no restrictions placed on parking, however my front and rear tyres were on the concrete edge.

I did not notice any no parking signs in the street, also when i opened the PCN, the sellotape defaced the name of the enforcement oficer, the actual offence i commited and in the restricted street.

I now have a fixed penalty charge of £70 for parking two of my wheels on a concrete edge curb, reducing to £35 if i pay within 14 days.

Any help or advice please on this one, should i appeal ?

Thanks in advance

Was it issued by the council (normally appeals/payments go to the council) or by some private firm (normally "appeals"/payments go to some PO Box)?

What is the ticket that you have received? You refer to a "fixed penalty charge". Is it a Penalty Charge Notice? Your best bet is to go to the parking forum on https://www.pepipoo.com and post up the entire ticket, so that someone can advise you on whether or not it is correct.

Hi thanks for reading my post

There are i believe double yellow lines on the road, but none indicating a site boundary.

I dont think there are any no parking signs on the road, i will check tomorrow when i drive past,
