Barclays online banking on ipad...problem?

Yesterday Barclays launched a new online banking programme, and since I always log in using my ipad..i find I am unable to enter letters from password in drop down boxes ( normally would click the arrow to drop down letters but unable to do this for some reason on ipad)
is anyone else having this same problem?
i tried to find a help line email for Barclays, but searching the site doesnt seem possible to contact them...i would think its pretty hopeless calling my branch as it seems to be an internet programme problem

I did have the same problem about 2 months ago and it resolved itself after a couple of days0

I can't login today at all, and when I get to the page that asks to fill in boxes for bank details, starting with Surname, they can't be typed in cos they don't work. Thats on a pc with XP pro.
However, several LONG hours ago when I first attempted to login, a message came up saying it was down for maintenance which was supposed to be finished by about 2.30 this morning - maybe they've found problems that they're trying to fix?
I hope so, because if this is its new 'normal' way of working now, its a complete disaster.:( The old online banking worked perfectly, can't understand why they felt they needed to change it.0 -
I have used barclays online banking for both business & personal for over 10 years now with no problems til they changed their online system. It's not payday traffic, it's not inland revenue traffic, the system is SH*T, there is no need for pinsentry either.
couple of weeks before changing their system they called me more than once asking for my opinion of barclays & online banking, & I honestly said that I would brag how good barclays are & singing their praises. Funny how they're not calling now.
Called & complained & got a reference number (what good that would do, & was told not to swear, then I said "jog on"). Sort it out Barclays, making me look like a prize mug :mad::mad::mad:0 -
to Moneysaving stalwart. Yes,me too,exactly the same problem,ipad won't allow me to use drop down list when logging in.In a vain attempt to get someone to listen at Barclays,I have written to local branch manager and asked him to pass this on to the techy guys.0

I cant log in to my online account today ,this is ridiculous considering its a new system ,looks like a repeat performance of the tesco bank problems last year when i couldnt gain access for 2 weeks after they installed a new computer system ,looks like i will be looking to barclays for compensation for the bills i cant pay today0

I have been trying all day to access the on line banking , It took me 22minutes to get through to the call centre and they said it would be fixeonion in an hour . Whoever is responsible for implementing a new on line banking system without ensuring it works at peak times should be sacked , likewise whoever is managing their response should also go
To decide to do Maintainance work last night before the busiest day of their month was lunacy and I can't even begin to imagine how they would be able to come up with the figure in their statement to day that only 10% of their on line customers are affected is ludicrous ..... How can they tell they can't even fix the site !!
Ps I bet the managing director of Barclays is coping with getting his payments made today ... Unlike the rest of us !0 -
I just wanted to say thanks to OP for this thread. i had been trying to log into my Barclays online banking all day using PC with Vista. When I clicked on "login" it just hung. I have just kept trying not realising it was a national problem. Just assumed it was my PC. At least after finding your thread I know it's not just me and will just give up for the day.0

This new system has locked my wife's IPad. Now she can't do anything. Can not close down any web pages caus it stops her going to the list of open sites. Case for suing Barclay's? It is the year end.0

I have just given up trying to access on my ipad! its so annoying
i logged in on my computer, and was asked to complete an online survey...went through all the questions with very negative feedback about new online system, but still not found any way to contact the technical department - has anyone an email address or other?0 -
Does anyone actually manage to log into their barclays online banking account using an ipad??
Would be good to know if it is possible...or is it just my ipad settings.
