Hi I hope someone can give me some advice. I'm lookind at a VW Polo 1.4 3 door 2001 125000 mile. It has service history, just been services , new camblet at 110,000 and new ciols. Has been well maitained bt VW technician. Looks really good , price £800 - is it a good buy ?
How long is the MOT for? If short be extra careful.
It could be the best car you ever buy but equally it could die tomorrow but probably not too bad especially if you can knock off a couple of hundred.0 -
Totheleft, this Polo from your friend could be a good buy, but only if its been serviced competently and regularly throughout her ownership.
If its been neglected or abused best avoided.
Don't forget to ensure its hers to sell, no finance owing or logbook loan etc.0 -

There are many models of car you describe. However, I would say it is a good buy. Trade price is about £3k. Buying a one owner from someone you know and trust is just about the best used buy you can make.
It'll be a Mk4, Phase 2. Which is 2005 - 2009.. So I'd call that a 2006 new shape.0
