We have rolls of these at work but only because the mail gets franked with the correct postage, including the charge for recorded mail and then I had it over at the PO, it gets weighed, scanned and then sent off.
I wouldn't use them for my own Ebay sales though.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Oh I'm sorry I didn't realise that the Post Office got no commission if they sold you 100 stamps in advance but if you buy as and when you post every item they do get commission. The Post Office also have their own online postage printer.
And the cashiers do all the work? I thought I was supposed to put the item in an envelope/packet/box, seal it and address it. Turns out I was wrong!0 -
By pay in advance people normally mean buy online, which means the Post Office don't get any money but still do the same amount of work as a normal special delivery. Sorry if I came over slightly rude.0

A post office will get paid a transaction fee even if your parcel is pre paid as long as they enter it into they system and don't just throw it in the post bag.
Before I started using paypal postage I asked my post office what it would mean to them, they said they didn't mind because it saves their time and still get paid a fee.0
