Loan Taken Out In My Name Speed Credit Mini Credit

I know this is an old post but I am going through the same thing now and i just wanted to know if you got this nightmare sorted.
The minicredit loan had been took out in my name by someone I know, they had access to my account without my knowledge! I have contacted the police who have told me that i need to contact minicredit first and that it is up to the loan company to prove that i took the loan out. I have rang minicredit several times, who are very very rude, there telling me that they have to hear off the police first. I have also emailed minicredit twice and sent them a letter over a week ago now and i still haven't had a reply.
Feels like im just going round in circles and i need some advice!0 -

Don't use emails as easier to just delete, contact them in writing which you have done, try again if you don't get a reply in a reasonable amount of time.0 -
Yes I've reported them to the police, the police have told me that i have to contact minicredit and it is up to minicredit to prove that I had took the loan out0

How did they access your account? How did they withdraw the loan deposit from your bank account?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

You need to go back to the police then. Technically, this person has stolen from you, so it is you that he has committed the crime against.
As the money has been paid into an account in your name, minicredit's default stance will be that you applied for the loan and it was paid to you.
As Tixy says, how did they withdraw the money from your account.0 -

Minicredit are very difficult to deal with. Assuming that the money has been taken out of your account then you need to protect yourself. First off report your card as lost/compromised as this "friend" must have had the details for it to get a minicredit loan. Then take a letter into your bank explaining that the card has been compromised and not to make any payments to minicredit/microcredit and cancel any CPA.
Next contact minicredit again, kristel.martinson@minicredit.co.uk to be honest it won't do any good as they are stupid and will send you lots of letters with Y instead of y (you will see what I mean) although they tend to email. Use a read receipt. Also copy in claims@minicredit.co.uk . Keep copies of the sent emails
Finally go back to the police and report your friend for fraud. I know it may be difficult but it needs to be done0 -
They got my details because I used to live with them and they must of opened my post. I don't know how they got my pin, I didn't even know my pin because I don't use that account.
Thanks Jon I have emailed the claims@minicredit.co.uk one but not the other one I will give that one try!
I have already reported them to the police, they are now in prison but not for doing this to me, I haven't heard anything back from the police since January and I reported them in December.0 -
So did they take money out your bank account from an ATM? did they steal your card? had you reported to the bank that it was lost or stolen?
Have you reported the fraud to the bank since you were aware of it? what have they said about it?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
