    We went to Dubai in August and it was extremely hot but most places are air conditioned, even the bus stops and metro. We stayed at the Ibis Deira City Centre which is next to the Novotel. It was a 3* hotel nothing flash but nice and spacious, free wifi in reception and the food in both hotels was delicious. I would defo reccommend this hotel. It is not far from the airport but far enough away not to hear any flights and you don't need to book transfers just get a taxi as it's only 10 mins. tops away and taxi's so cheap. Cheapest beer/lager in a pub we found was in the Irish Village just ask a taxi driver to take you it costs about 10 dirhams. This hotel is ideal
