Dubai Holiday deals ??

I'm looking to take my GF to Dubai for week for a holiday September.
Can anybody recommend me which airlines and hotel I should book? I am looking for something affordable. I dont really need a hotel on the beach either. However anywhere where most things are accessible would be fine with me.
Thanks for any input.

i dont have a price in mind.
I want anything reasonable.... the flight cheap as possible. But the hotel could be 4-5 stars. 2 adults0 -
Dubai prices vary massively so you could be paying £2,000 or £10,000I am a Travel Agent

The definition of "reasonable" can vary pretty wildly from one person to the next.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
We travelled to Dubai in January 2012, and booked our hotel, Amwaj Rotana Jumeriah Beach via Kentwood Travel (based in London), they were offering on their website a deal inclusive of breakfast and for the 6 nights we were there the cost was about £600.
They can also look into flights for you, however we had airmiles so did not look at this as a package.
The hotel was really quite pleasant, good enough location on the beach and a 5-10 minute stroll to the metro.
Hope you get something suitable.0 -
We stayed at the 4* Crowne Plaza Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road. It was a very comfortable stay - 5 mins away from train station which was very efficient. Has a pool/sun terrace although you lost the sun about 1pm behind the tall buildings but then we'd just go off exploring.
We paid under £100 per night for a junior suite (which had a small kitchen) with their non refundable rate but we had flights booked and, bar death or disaster (which travel insurance would cover), we knew we'd be going. Would stay there again with no worries.
Don't forget to get yourself The Entertainer Book for Dubai. It's full of 2-4-1 vouchers for theme parks, restaurants, excursions (jeep safari in the desert) saved us a fortune and we used it to death. Have a look on Ebay for a second-hand one as those going for a week won't use all the vouchers so they sell them on. Even if you have to buy one (you can have it delivered to your hotel for your day of arrival) at about £50 you'll get your money back in the first day.

Hi
To keep costs down, stay in the city as beach front properties come at a premium! Emirates operate direct flights from Birmingham, Heathrow, Manchester, Newcastle and Glasgow so covers most of the country and don`t pre book airport transfers as taxi`s really cheap in Dubai.I am a Travel Agent

okay thank youuu all very much for all the replies.
As i've never really been on a holiday. Does 6 days sound enough for a place like dubai? opr shall I go for longer? Also what kind of prices should I be looking to pay for flight? So i know I wont be getting ripped off. I want a normal flight, nothing expensive.
Lastly where in Dubai should I look to be staying in? and what are most common events / entertainment/ activities that tourists like to visit? So i can plan my visit better.
Lastly I wont be shopping that much, but I will like to do the desert riding etc, and all the entertainment stuff. how much should I look minimum to spend?0 -
