Any dates for possible fuel strikes?

Amid all the news coverage, I haven't really seen any potential dates for strikes discussed? Have the unions proposed any yet?

Maybe you'll have to have a staycation this year instead? Do you like walking?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... I live in Essex. I'm not having a staycation.
We do like walking - it's what we're going to the Cairngorms (May) and the Lake District (June) for. But I'm not walking there. Walking up the M6 isn't all that scenic really...
Aren't pumps currently drying up due to panic buyers rather than an actual shortage? (i.e. they'll be restocked again next week) Don't understand the panic when there's no confirmed dates yet...0 -
I'd place a bet on somewhere around Easter. From past experience, they have a way of p-ing off the public by trying to mess up their holidays.0

Any word on how long it'd go on for?
Easter we have friends from around the country coming to stay with us and I've already stocked up on chocolate. Hope they can come or MrTeapot and I will be very fat...0 -

Essex? I would suggest thinking of popping across the channel for your hols as there should still be plenty of fuel there
Get a couple of jerry cans full of diesel today to be sure you make it to Dover"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Yes. And in the last strike the pumps dried up from panic buying rather than any actual shortage. Many people were still driving around on the fuel they bought weeks after the strike ended. Personally I bought as normal and never had a problem.
You sound like one of those people who does a months shopping because Tesco is closed on Xmas day.0 -
Um no, I'm not one of those people. I just couldn't see any actual facts in all the hysterical news reporting so I was checking if any dates were known or had been suggested by the unions. If they clashed completely with our holiday dates I might think twice about paying the balances which are due soon. Scotland is a tank each way so I don't want to end up stuck up there because we can't refuel to get home. Well actually, that sounds pretty good but my work might not be impressed.
This made me laugh:

Maybe you could start a thread telling people how to drive economically.0 -
For strike action they have to give a minimum notice of week. So at soonest it can start is next Thursday, but they haven't said anything about dates yet.
So no need to start panic buying anyone, the current governments is just playing on the story making people panic to cover up this hide away this week scandals, ie cash for access and the budget.0
