True, there are hundreds of scammers out there.... but there are also professional, polite and friendly Ebayers selling tickets too !
If you choose the Ebay route, PLEASE take all precautions to ensure that you are buying from a reputable seller. Personally, if I was buying, I would wait until the tickets are in hand and shown on the listing. This however isn't going to happen for a long, long time with TT tix though as I doubt that they will be released until November/December time. In which case you must take their feedback into account. Personally again, I would go for someone with at least 99% feedback, has sold tickets regularly and their feedback shows a high level of personal customer care, regular contact etc.
Ask for their phone number so you can speak to them personally, ask if you can pay a deposit now and the full amount later. I don't mind either of these things.
Don't necessarily be put off if an Ebayer doesn't disclose booking confirmation details or seat numbers, just blocks and rows. This is just to protect their bookings from being traced and cancelled.
I'm not trying to sell myself here, just offering advice through my own experience as a buyer and a seller.0 -
A WORD OF WARNING !
Just something else I've thought of, not meaning to cause alarm just making you aware...
When my multiple bookings were cancelled by Stargreen I was NOT informed by either phone or email. I didn't expect the tickets to be released until 10 days before so presumed all was ok up until then. It was only after that time, when no tickets had been received, that I rang Stargreen and was informed that ALL of my orders were cancelled as I'd booked over the tour limit ( I had booked a pair of tickets for each 3 nights of a tour ). I was astounded that I hadn't received ANY notification of this cancellation. Their reply was that they never bother because there are always too many people to contact.
So, I'm suggesting that if you think you've over booked with Stargreen ( From their website: MAXIMUM 4 PER PERSON/CARDHOLDER/HOUSEHOLD ACROSS ALL DATES*E.G 4 IN TOTAL NOT 4 TICKETS PER DAY* ) please call them asap to amend your bookings !0 -

Anyone got an idea of when these tickets will get sent out? I know it says up to 5 days before, but they usually go out before then don't they?0
-
Tickets are usually sent about a week or so before the concert and then have to be signed for.0
-
Ticketmaster tend to be quicker sending tickets out.
Seetickets seem to leave it until about a week or so before most gigs. Indeed, the last tickets I had for them arrived 4 days before the gig, and were Ticketmaster tickets.0 -
My colleague booked six tickets for Glasgow on Friday morning, only to receive an email from Seetickets today saying that her card details were wrong. I know they weren't, I entered them for her and we checked & rechecked twice to make sure they were okay.
I think they're at it. Isn't that why you provide a daytime phone number so they can call if there is a problem?
Have Seetickets doe this to any other MSE'ers?
Cheers
