Here is something you may be interested to know - I have been reading the discussion topics on the take that website. Apparently there is something dodgy going on with charging top prices for bad seats..... This is the quote:

"just phoned the NEC box office the £25 tickets are
Blocks 6 &13
K,L and M
7-12"

I am in block 13 and have been charged £45 per ticket. Therefore I have just phoned seetickets and they have referred my query to customer services who will phone back in the next couple of days. They said I should be entitled to a partial refund.

Anyone else seated in these blocks and paid full price? I haven't phoned the NEC personally so it may be worth double checking.

Why not insist that you receive a seat for the blocks that you paid the extra for instead of getting a refund for the seats you didn't request ?
