I don't know what I put together at Halewood today but sure as hell didn't look like a pedal!

It's roughly £25k a year as you start on 70% of full pay thanks to the xmas 2012 pay deal. It used to be £29k which is 80%. Not sure what the exact hourly rate is because of the different amount of hours worked on each shift.

Did mine last week if I hear anything I'll let you know but they said it will take 4 weeks before you hear anything.

Where abouts did you work in Halewood mate? All the manpower staff have changed now I found that weird yesterday. I was hoping they'd remember me and my previous record might count for something!

The basic rate is £10.76 and the shift rate is about £13.26

I was on the stuff up for 6 months then moved to trim and final (wheels seats etc) I had a root canal and took two days off etc etc. How about you? Do you have any idea how many people they are recruiting, I've heard they are asking jag staff if they want to go to India?

I've heard a few Hundred are getting taken on and not all will get contracts. Most are going to Body Shop but a smaller number to Trim and Final. I've also been told that priority will be given to people who worked there previously not sure how much truth is in this though it's friend of a friend stuff. I've not heard anything about India and I'm mates with a load of people from Halewood.

I was classed as Body but worked all over as the integrated our jobs onto the production lines after about 6 months. Out of my whole PFL group last time I think 1 maybe 2 lads got contracts but we were some of the last to start so we were always at a disadvantage.

Halewood is going to send 200pp to India for 4 weeks and to China for 8 weeks.. so probably some of new people will be hired just to cover them

If that's true Jaguar and Manpower should be upfront about this type of thing. There's too many people who burn bridges taking a job there and end up worse off than before. People would appreciate the honesty.

In one of the questions on the online application was if you agree that your job can be finished any day and you can work for a while and later stay without work for few months. . And that they will try to inform you in advance. ..or something like that.. and of course you had to press yes there.
