Think cautions are ok, theses a guy with the same problem on a previous page.0

I would research it abit more online if I'm honest , because if you don't declare it and it shows up it's fair to say it would be a no.0

Hello everyone,
I have my manual assessment on wednesday at castle vale college. This is my second go as I failed miserably about 10 months ago following the tests at Tysley. Basically I panicked and rushed it, so this time I need to stay calm etc etc.
My question really is, do you take your time and read the instructions bit by bit as you go thru the process and risk running out of time or do you try and memorise what the jlr guy has shown you and risk getting it wrong??
Yours thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks0 -

Ask them at the time, they will know.Hello everyone,

Watch the demo closely but take your time (although not too much) with the build. There should be plenty of time to follow the instructions step by step. In fact we were advised to use the paper they give you for the improvements as a place marker and move it down after each step.
Saying that, that is from my perspective and I have had 17 years previous experience of exactly the same type of assembly work, so to me it was second nature.
It would be interesting (and helpful) to hear other people's experience, who maybe haven't done that type of work before.
Good luck.0 -
Many thanks for the reply.
I have not done this type of work before so it felt very strange to me first time round.
Generally i`m good at learning something new, but like to go thru things a few times first. Obviously difficult in an assessment environment !

I would personally Just focus on the main things, direction he goes, things in what order etc, if you can do that for 70% of what he shows you then 30% would be to check a few things on the instructions.
Just make sure you get to the front, closely watch the main things he shows and the rest will come natural. Also don't let anything distract you.
Good luck!
I'm nervous about my formal interview Tuesday..0 -
Thanks Minty_fresh.
Good luck to you too.0 -
Because it's a discloser Scotland check a caution is classed as a spent conviction and will not show up I rang and ask data protection at the police station and it also tells u on the Scotland discloser website it's only a problem if you have been convicted of any affence cus that will show up0
