As far as I have been able to find out, the assessments are as in post #2 with another one added on. Something to do with threading a wiring loom through some body work???
If anyone who knows for fact could update it would be helpful0 -
Its virtually identical. I was in and out in 30 mins. Six of us in all doing the assessment0

So did you have to fit the loom into a car body?? Or what was it?? It would be really helpful if you write anything else. I have assessment on next Friday and I'm so stressed!
Anyway did you guys apply to Solihull??
Thanks x0 -
Yeh, fit the loom and then the magnet test. Just have to play the waiting game now.0

To start on??? means it goes up after some time???:D0 -
Hey guys and girls, I applied online and got a call back to say I was successful less then 2 days after saying that my manual assessment is in a few weeks time, this Tuesday (25th)
what exactly is the new manual assessment involve as I know they have chopped and changed over the years, so a up to date idea would be awesome.
also what is the whole process of applying online to being accepted for the position? which is a production line operative so nothing snazzy.
any info asap would be great, thanks in advance0 -

As far as I know it goes like this,
Start with Manpower on 70% C£10.75
After 1 year JLR short term contract at 80% C£12.33
1 more year full time contract at 90% C£13.90
Year after 92.5% C£14.25
Year after 95% C£14.65
You cannot hit 100%
Plus any shift premium.
Again this is as far as I know, don't take it as gospel.
(oh and this is for CB and Solihull, don't know about the new engine plant or Halewood)0
