Excellent, i think you have done the right thing. As long as you got some in the right direction they usually do the rest by rubbing it in whilst trying to rub it off :TAnt. :cool:0

phew.
he seems to forgive me each time thankfully.
that little thing they do when they close both their eyes for a second to let you know they mean you no harm, i do it back to him.
We have a mutual agreement, even after i did his eye last night, he slept by my side all night, was a blinking nightmare as i couldn't straighten up on my own and my hips were in agony, but he was happy to sleep there all night next to me :rotfl:0 -
Been a few days of trying to get the cream in gizmo's eye, but today i was really concerned as his eye looked bad and closed.
we decided to go to the vets, so glad we did.
What we were hoping wouldn't happen, has happened.
He has an ulcer on his eye
asked the vet for an alternative to the cream as giz hated it, and was getting nasty with us today (can't blame the fella)
option one was tablets and that would of been more of a hastle as 2 cats share food, and it would of meant pin down and force down,
he offered an injection
so we have to wait now till Monday and go back to see if it is better, if not a trip back again to be put under so they can have a good look at his eye.
poor gizmo0 -
Oh dear... not sure what is more tricky with cats - tablets or eye cream/drops....
Poor Gizmo, and poor you ... hope he is well soon0 -

Well that was interesting.
After the upsetting news on Saturday being told Gizmo had an ulcer on his eye.. It's gone..
Vet had a good look yesterday as they wanted to see him again, no ulcer, no sign of it, completely gone as in it was never there in the first place.
Vet explained *graphic alert* there was most likely no ulcer but his inner eyelid is has dead flesh, its falling off into his eye.. (very inflamed but looking ok under all that)
eye is looking much better, his eye will recover :T0 -
Good news!
My dog had a badly ulcerated eye that didn't seem to respond to eye cream/drops. I know that both my daughter and myself seem to be allergic to them so I asked vet if we could stop treatment for a few days. The ulcer was so deep, we were on the verge of agreeing to surgery. Luckily the vet agreed to us stopping the drops and 2 days later there was a significant improvement and the ulcer was beginning to heal! Our vet was surprised it healed so quickly and it appeared the drops were somehow acting as an irritant."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0
