Well, silly me, apologies, I must have missed the last page in the end box somehow.
I still think there should be an option to display newest thread first, most forums let you do this.
And where's the option to be notified of replies?
It was difficult to find this thread again, searching 'breakdown' didn't find it, so I had to go via my profile and replies.
The MSE email and advice in general are fantastic but navigation of these forums is awful !1 -

The MSE email and advice in general are fantastic but navigation of these forums is awful !Must admit, I've found the recent revamp of MSE to be a case of one step forward / three hundred steps back, leaving me with the feeling that it's been the work of kiddie coders who knew the theory but couldn't be bothered to familiarise themselves with the practice after congratulating themselves on their genius.Once upon a time, you knew you were logged into MSE because the MSE page welcomed you, and you could quickly click on your name to delve into details of posts made and threads subscribed. Now, it takes awhile for my brain to cotton onto the fact that a well-nigh invisible 'people' icon with the equally well-nigh invisible white-on-green lettered 5pt upper case PROFILE located almost but not quite at the top righthand corner of the on screen display has -- inexplicably -- been deemed by MSE Techies to be a suitable replacement for the previous way of doing things. PROFILE is of course, not my name; nor is there any welcome text. My username doesn't actually figure anywhere on the screen, an omission which suggests MSE believes it will be all the better without my presence. If you do manage to find the word PROFILE and the tiny people icon on this page and click on it, you'll open up your MSE account details containing notification preferences. Scroll down to option 6 and tick both check boxes: Notify me when people comment on my bookmarked discussions. As to this bookmarking business, you need to look at the top of any page of whatever thread you're reading and, if you wish to follow the course of conversation there, click on the green box featuring the word BOOKMARK:

Thanks for your help, I've fixed notifications and the bookmarks.
I also found the forum feedback thread and discovered we are far from alone in our discontent.
It's all sooooo complicated, there seem to be several car breakdown threads for instance.
By far the worst forum site I have ever been on, won't be bothering again any time soon.
I'm not even sure if I'm on the old platform or the new one !0 -
Anyone else rather miffed at Green Flag?
Last year, £76.16.
"although you didn't need our help this year, thousands call us" - therefore we are raising your price to £89.60
Must be time to move. Anyone bothered calling to haggle with them?Plan for tomorrow, enjoy today!0 -

Yup.....Eversure with Collingwood for under £30 (with MSE code)....for gold cover!
*hopefully* will never be needed.....but if it is, *hopefully* it'll work!Plan for tomorrow, enjoy today!0 -
MSE states "Comprehensive AA* 'vehicle-only' cover, which includes home start, onward travel with national recovery (which will take you, your passengers and the car to your chosen destination) is £113 a year or £119 a year if you add personal cover (covers you as a driver or a passenger in another vehicle)."
Clicked to "Get it through the AA*" and then selected the 'For 1 year' vehicle cover option. On next page I select 'At Home' and that takes the cost to 119.00! That does not include anything else! Where is this cover cost quoted by MSE coming from?Anyone know?

Just picked up basic RAC vehicle cover for £15, discounted from £40! A more comprehensive package with recovery, onward travel and home start would be just £46.75.That's made up of a 25% discount the RAC are currently offering plus 50% cashback from TopCashback (tracked immediately so looks like it will be paid). The 25% discount promotion ends 7am on 8th October and is for new customers only. Cashback is only available if you haven't had RAC cover during the last 4 months.0
