Help - JSA stopped because of land

Hi,
Hoping someone can advise me. My JSA has been suddenly stopped because they say I have more than £16k capital.
This is becuase I own some very small plots of land which were previously being disregarded for JSA and are now being taken into account after a review (I have had it up for sale but it seems no-one wants to buy!)
However, I think they have over-valued the land so I intend to appeal. I need an independent valuation of the plots to make this case.
Anyone know how I can get the land valued without spending too much to do it?
Any help appreciated!

Why not just sell the land at a price that someone's prepared to pay?0

What price do you have it up for sale for?Hi,

Are there shops/houses/offices/farms adjacent to any of the land who may be more interested than others to buy it? i.e. to extend their garden/farm/car-park or whatever? Have you tried approaching them direct and cutting out the middle-man?DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

Yes I am now cutting the price to a bargain level just to get rid of it, as I've had no takers at a reasonable price - would love to be shot of it. I wouldn't mind not getting the benefits if I actually had the cash to live on, in fact I'd prefer it, but at the moment I've got neither.
Thanks skintandscared - maybe I should try other approaches to selling it.
Meantime though I still need a cheap way to get an independant valuation for my JSA appeal evidence.0 -
