From comments on here, they don't seem to be as well organised as before they started the 6 month on/off sessions. It seemed a reasonable idea when they introduced it, but certainly hasn't been good for a lot of the original members.

Hope you get back on soon.

I'm guessing that it's probably because of the '6 month rule' that they're so disorganised.

Experience counts for a lot, and if you constantly replace experienced people with inexperienced people, it's pretty obvious what's going to happen. :)

Having said that, they don't seem to be enforcing it too rigorously. I was due to be booted out months ago, and it hasn't happened yet. I'm sort of hoping it does happen, in a way, just for a break from the routine.

I've been off the panel for about 8 months, and just been doing the misdelivery surveys, which take no time at all. I've still got stamps left, and I'm not sure if I'll bother to go back on again if I'm invited. It seems pretty disorganised at the moment, and they seem to be asking for more work from the panellists.
  • i was placed on the reserve list in may 2012 and was told i would automatically be asked to rejoin after 6 months. After 6 months i emailed them and was told i would be emailed a month before the 6 months to be asked to rejoin, so i replied and said it had already been 6 months, every month i keep emailing and i keep getting the same response, it has now been 9 months and i have now been told my area is over subscribed.

I have been completing delivery surveys in my off time but i cannot see how i was told i was being made a reserve and it is automatic but i am not being reinstated.

Not sure if i will bother rejoining as i think they have treated us long serving members poorly. I didnt even get a diary this year :(

    Two questions
If I have a SMART to post and my letter / package has one of those cardboard inserts I always put the SMART inside the cardboard, do others do this, is this the correct way That's OK.

Received a test item today from a well known company, I also received a non test item from the same company, addressed the same way (salutation, initial and surname) offering to release equity in my property. Never had any dealings with the company in the past It may be that both are test items.
Is someone in the company using the test data to send junk mail, or is it just a coincidence. If you confirmed that one was a test item because it was as pictured and the other is a different letter, the picture of the second one may appear a little later. If it doesn't, let Kantar/TNS know what has happened: the sending companies are not supposed to use your details for anything other than the panel work.

    Thanks

  • I was supposed to start the unaddressed survey week start 28th Jan.
Nothing at all was showing on the website so I ended up and dumped all the leaflets on Wednesday. Now the dates have come up but no pictures of what I should have received. I don't suppose it matters now anyhow as I haven't a clue what came when. What a mess.
  • OK, so I emailed and asked them what was going on and received a response saying that although I had been paused, I was now live and should received my proper pack next week! Not had any stamps, just test items. Bizarre.

I received my email yesterday telling me that:

"In about 5 weeks time, your 6-month period of participation will come to an end. When this happens, we will stop despatching Sender Packs to you and the number of survey items you receive should reduce shortly afterwards. We would be grateful if you could continue to enter the details of any items you do post or receive during your remaining weeks on the survey. Also, we hope you will agree to help us in the future.

If so, we will most likely invite you to rejoin the survey in about 4-5 months time. In the meantime, we might invite you to participate on the 2-week long Correctly Delivered survey for which we offer high street vouchers to participate."

This has not come soon enough as I have felt they are asking you to do so much more than when I first signed up several years ago. I find it strange how they call these 6 month periods when I was reinstated back again in early Auguest last year and I still have 5 weeks left and then they will reinvite me again in 4-5 months. This seems to have become a shambles since they started the breaks. Not sure I will bother again when they reinvite as I have enough stamps to last me for years.

I will still continue to do the posting parcels, correctly addressed though as they are much less time consuming and I have just been invited to start my first unaddressed survey.

I've just rejoined the panel again and found that that the number of items that I send and receive has about doubled.

I think that the increase in the items received makes it much more obvious to the postmen who is taking part in this survey.

This morning I had 4 test letters, all containing SMARTS. Although the SMARTS are less obvious than they were several years ago, when the postman puts 4 letters through the letter box, all with SMARTS in, they must guess.

    What do others think ?

I have been on the panel 4 months and I don't think I will do it again. I send 5/6 items every week. I receive about 10/12 items a week.
I think my postie must have an idea or have guested especially when I have been sent 5 items alone from the DVLA over 3 days, most with smarts in them.
I still have not managed to get on any extra surveys e.g. unaddressed mail which I would love to do but have never been invited to do.
