I was charged £4.95 for 4 photos0 -
Another vote for passpic here, especially if you need baby/toddler photos. My friends have all spent £15 per child to get professional photos which meet passport criteria. Passpic charge £4.95 if you upload your own photos (and provide a tutorial of how to take the photo). They check they meet criteria and send 4 prints to you with free delivery. A simple internet serach will give you a code for 50p off your order. Saved me £20 for my two children and didn't have the hassle of trying to get 2 under 2's to behave in a studio! Bargain!0

I do my own without problem. A cream bed sheet pinned up outside, stood in front in daylight leaving enough of the sheet bordering around head. Crop it down in graphics program. If you have a desktop publishing program like Pageplus easier - I create a box with a thin black line outline 45mm x 35mm then paste the picture underneath it. Stretch it around until it fits the criteria required (it doesn't matter if some of the background is outside the box as long as its all filled. Print onto photo paper at best setting. Guillotine cleanly on the lines of the box. Done. 4 x passports and 2 x driving licences no issues.European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0

The average price is £5-£8 for standard passport photos. That is at least what I saw so I think it is not worth searching for cheaper services if you find a place to get it for £5.0

Take your photos at home using your own camera or phone on light cream background, upload the photos to http://www.epassportphoto.com/ , you get 6"x4" template to fit 5 or 6 photos. Save it and print it at home or site like Jessops for 25p. I have used this for renewing the passport as well as foreign visa applications and not had any issues.More0

The Post Office will do driving licence photo renewals for 4.50 which factoring in the cost of a 2nd class stamp is not too bad.

Not my experience at all. My Epson printer is perenially saying "Ink Cartridges not recognised" with the cartridges I buy online. Now it's taken to only printing in red. Don't think that will be accepted for my passport. Go to a photo booth and be done with it.0
