Ring them! Not everyone responds to facebook or email in a timely way, a call will make it real and personal and remind them to respond.0

People are so busy nowadays, don't assume you are being blanked. it could be difficulty organising babysitters, trying to re-organise some other commitment, or simply not had a chance to check messages, give them a quick ring.0

I think a phone call really is the best way to go, though think its a shame you have to.0

This used to happen to us all the time when we held Halloween parties, and yes people are soooooo rude not to reply, especially when you're feeding them.
Are you having a buffet type thing? If so, I would get some frozen things in that you can fire straight in the oven; if they don't turn up then you can keep them in the freezer and use them again another time.0 -

doing a mix of freshly made food, some simple frozen stuff for kids, and drinks etc.
Out of interest what do people do with regards to offering booze? Parties i have been to seem to be all BYOB style. I have said i will put out some wine and soft drinks, and maybe a few cans of beer. I dont think all the folk i have coming are big drinkers as most will be driving home etc.0 -
I would email them, people are so rude. A simple yes or no would suffice.0

Maybe their email isn't working or your message has been accidentally swallowed by their spam folder?0

They're rude? I can't think of any other reason, frankly."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Bucks Fizz made with Cava (Tesco own brand is pretty damn good) and a decent orange juice is cheap to make. As many are driving, they can safely have a glass. Or our party favourite in warmer weather is Pimms (Or Pimms type drink!) with plenty of fruit and dilute with lemonade as far as you like. I agree it's rude for people not to reply and I'd have (frozen) nibbles in reserve just in case more turn up than you'd been advised.0
