Not from Thailand, I had the same problem.To answer the OP.
1. Introduce her to www.freegle.org.uk and www.freecycle.com ; you might also collect on her behalf?
2. Check here http://www.frn.org.uk/ and locate your nearest Furniture recycler. Most of them will provide furniture and household goods free or at minimum cost to people who are supported by their social worker.
Ask her social worker or Women's Aid for advice on resettlement support.
She should be getting CSA (15% of his income) from the ex.

Yep he is in the UK they moved here together for his work and he does pay Child Maintenance.
