Ok, well i've subscribed to this thread after massively failing to clear my debt in time for the London Olympics :D.

Thanks for the new thread The Dragon. I'll return with an up-to-date total of all my debt at some point. But i'll need a wee dram of something medicinal first before facing up to that daunting task! ;)

Glad to see you - sorry I didn't welcome you here before but I have been rusting in Wales!

Thanks The Dragon, hope you've not rusted away! :D

    Pay day :j:j:j:j:j:j

I still haven't the nerve to add-up all my debt , but i made a payment of £32 today to Barclaycard :j leaving £533 to go .

Will be making more payments this weekend to other creditors, keep them off my back for another month :p.

Have a fab weekend all
  • Start of a new month so I would like to report £397.08 as my starter for 10.

Need to do some snowball calculations to decide where the best place to put the extra payment this month
  • Have had to scale back additional payments this month due to unexpected house repair bill. However I have set myself a target of making this up via eB sales and am about a quarter of the way there :D

I have of course made some payments so would like to report another £480.35
  • I got an unexpected bonus from work so before I could spend it I made 2 additional payments totalling £810 Still working on paying back the household bill money as well and making steady progress with eb sales.

#10...debt is now down to £32,592.35 so I work that out at 5.42% paid. It doesn't seem to have changed much in the last few months. I bought a sofa which has increased the overall debt  However, the method in the madness is that if I stay here for another 2 years (cheap rent/grotty furniture) I'll have more money to pay off the debts so a small splurge on furniture will make my stay here more comfortable. Oh, and I can always take it with me when I have money for a bigger place in a few years :T
