VCS parking ticket in disabled bay

Thanks for the advice - I will follow it through as you recommend- but, in reply to "Not free to park in a Disabled Bay", why then advertise it as a Disabled Bay.
It is
1. misleading when they have changed their policy (previously was free)
2. have tiny/ poor signage that a wheelchair user would have difficulty seeing which is also a long distance from a car park bay clearly marked marked disabled bay with a disabled logo painted on the ground
3. discriminatory to blue badge holders- who may as well park anywhere0 -
1. Just to check even though a prominently displayed "Disabled Parking" logo was painted on the ground in the space I parked in, I should offer to pay the appropriate fee for the time I parked.
What "Disabled Parking logo" is this then?
FYI, the only legal disabled markings in the UK are the ones specified in the TSRGD and illustrated below:
Anything else is not a disabled bay!0 -

The main point about a disabled bay is, first, that it is bigger, allowing you more room to get in and out of the car; and second, that it is placed nearer to the entrance of where you need to go.
In some car parks it may well be free; but where I am from, even the Council car parks are not necessarily free; all you get is the convenience.0 -
To be honest, although I'm aware that some car parks require disabled badge holders to pay, and some don't. Some of the posters are right these morons will go hell for leather for anyone they perceive as an 'easy target'. At the end of the day, whether you breached their regulations or not the right thing to do is simply pay the appropriate amount you should have (or close). These PPC idiots are just racketeering thugs.0
