Dog farts is quite mild compared to some of the subjects discussed on the dog forums I'm on!0

See, you got me giggling again!
How am I ever supposed to train pooch to be a well-mannered, mature dog when I am still chuckling like a 5 year old!0 -
I can't believe we have used up 2 pages talking about 'dog farts' as krlyr's link so delicately puts it!!
It has given me a lot to think about though. Funny how discussing things can help you get straight in your mind how you are going to tackle something. Many thanks
And maybe one day I will stop being so childish and giggling at the whole thing!
Ha ha, and there has only been the three of us talking about it too!! No-one else joined in!!0 -
Wind update!
So far I have stopped giving his tablets with cheese, and started him on his new food (which he is refusing to eat unless he is starving!)
No change on the wind
I really am thinking its his tablets now. The vet said it could be as they can cause the runs as a side effect.
Really hoping the injections he is on now mean we can stop with the tablets eventually.
He had a really bad gas attack last night, and OH was convinced it was me!0 -
Wind update again....
Wind is getting worse and now he is eating his new food his poos are getting increasingly unpleasant
I have stopped all cheese, and joint sticks.
I guess this shows it must be his medication. He has got two more weeks of injections and then hopefully we can stop the anti-inflammatories and so I am hoping this will help.
The food he is on now doesn't seem to be helping matters either. He is going to the toilet a lot more often and it is pretty messy. I am wondering if it is worth trying him on Skinners as people seem to recommend this, or whether to just go back to Arden Grange although that isn't cheap. I don't want to keep swapping his food around though, especially with the gas problems at the moment.
So far with his food changes I have done it gradually, over a couple of weeks, and he is staying on the new food for a couple of months. Will it do him harm to try something new if I change over again in the same way?0 -
Those joint care sticks caused horrible wind in my mothers 10 year old greyhound boy! If it continues after a change of meds I would throw them!0

He started with the wind before the joint sticks, but at the moment I am cutting out anything he doesn't actually need to try and reduce it!
His poos are pretty revolting now too and stink to high heaven. I am crossing my fingers we can stop the tablets in two weeks after his last injection.
That is assuming it is his anti-inflammatory tablets....
Could it be his Seraquin tablets? The dosage will be reduced in two weeks.
My house really stinks now
