You really need to check your credit file before anyone can help you.

One of the "ideas" was to check if you're on the electoral roll.

I assume you've done this? Are you on it?

Suggest you order your credit reports (£2 statutory, not credit 'scores') as recommended within this article...

From memory, that report only contains information from CallCredit, the least used CRA?

Better to get your reports directly from Experian & Equifax.
  • But if i go for another report wont it go against me?....also it seems u need a solo or mastercard....i have neither, i have a maestro debit!

The fact that you've searched your own file is not seen by other lenders. It's an 'unrecorded enquiry'.

I've previously ordered my £2 reports using a Maestro card.

If they've now changed the rules, then pay by postal order or one of the other methods they list.

Yorkshire Bank, but they've since moved to Mastercard Debit.
