......Or maybe its cos they want to reduce their overheads and offer a duplicate item because you wanted it??

And thats another way of looking at it!!!!! A true sellers point of view!

I am rarely an impulse buyer. Do I NEED this item .......NO but I like it and have decided to get it on reflection. The price STILL seems reasonable. Its a birthday gift. Perhaps if I wait I may get if for less. A true buyers point of view.

Its not just ebay....... I go round the supermarket putting things back, (in the right places, its only a wee shop) after thinking....DO I NEED that!

I have sold many many things on ebay and quite a few times i have had to offer second chances - a few times straight after the auction the winner sent me an email saying they didn't want it anymore to which i would straight away offer the last bidder a second chance offer. If you are going to get it at what you bid whats the problem? There are prob some people out there who do get people to bid for them to up the amount but not everyone does it.

I've just had a really good result on second chance offers.

Sold an item last night and had another identical one so immediately sent a second chance offer to second bidder which was also taken up. Then this morning i managed to get a third identical item, so sent another second chance offer to third bidder and sold that as well.

1 listing fee and three items sold at a decent price. If only it was always like that!
