I'm afraid I'm a bit behind the times and only have an old pc running on XP.
I recently got a very cheap mobile phone which actually takes photos and has bluetooth etc.
My pc does not appear to have bluetooth so I bought a bluetooth usb adaptor ES 388. I plugged it in to computer and the computer does not recognise it. The adaptor lights up when plugged in.
There is no software with it.
Please can anyone help me get it to work?

Can't you plug your phone into the PC's USB port? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

I tried plugging phone in and all it did was charge battery.
I.m finding the download site a bit scary - so far it has told me I used wrong words and its downloading but will take about 1 hour which seems a long time for a driver.0 -
Opps forgot to mention I'm a technophobe - sorry0

After 56 mins of downloading it says "There is another download in progress from your IP. Please try to downloading later."0

I had problems with two bluetooth adapters I bought off Ebay which came with no software/paperwork.
I gave up with them in the end as I could not get them to work.
I bought the same type - tiny one that you can leave connected on the USB port from Argos-

It was more money but came with a cd with the software on, much better.
I gave one of the other cheap bluetooth adapters to a friend, and they borrowed the cd to get the driver off it and it worked ok then.0 -
most bluetooth dongles work on usb2
you will have usb 1
so a bit of a compatability issue i guess0 -

The two cheap ones I bought from Ebay were USB2, but didn't come with drivers, and didn't work, when I tried to find drivers for them I had no luck.
The Argos one worked as soon as I had run the cd and the cheap ones worked with the driver on the cd of the Argos one too.
Oops, sorry, just seen what you meant. The old pc will have USB1. My mistake!!0 -
and somewhat regretted it.
I ended up buying a Belkin Bluetooth adaptor and I was very pleased with it.
It is similar to:-
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Mini-Bluetooth-Adapter-Class/dp/B001BROKXO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1332788578&sr=8-2
Half of what you buy with a Bluetooth adaptor is the supporting software that lets you browse the pictures on your phone (or whatever you want Bluetooth for).
Bluetooth can be tricky to get going but is really good when it does.0
