Need rugs? - iRugs sale = 30% off all rugs + free shipping - recommended

I am having a spring clean and decided to treat myself to two new hall runner rugs. My hall is a difficult size to fit as it is an old house and needs quite narrow rugs. Also I am partial to hand knotted Turkish and Afghan rugs.

After trawling around the net I found some very nice looking dark red Afghan hand knotted ones at iRugs. Their website was excellent, lots of colour photos, and easy to navigate, but you can never be sure with red rugs what shade you are getting. Still as the size and price was right and they have good reviews elsewhere on amazon and ebay, I decided to take a punt.

They were having a sale - 30% off all rugs and an extra 10% if you buy two, which I did - + FREE shipping. I was expecting a long wait as it looked as if they might be coming from the States. They turned up a few days later, by courier and they are excellent. I am very pleased with them. They are very nice rugs and look just like they did on the web site. I already have several similar rugs so I know what I am looking at.

I have absolutely no connection with iRugs, never heard of them till last week but I think their sale is coming to an end very soon. They do all types of rug not just hand knotted Asian ones, and it is 30% off everything till then. I am very pleased and wanted to recommend them to anyone here needing a rug or two.:T

Absolutely not, you can read back through all my other posts here - I have been posting for a long time, I am retired historian who lives in London and has no connection at all with iRugs who are a US company and only sell online.

I am a keen MSE member who found a good deal and wanted to share it here, isn't that what this site is supposed to be about? Can't we tell everyone when we find a good deal without being accused of being a plant? How do you suggest we share information?

I went into Superdrug yesterday and saw that their own brand face cream was half price and there were good deals on other face creams. If I share that information here, does that make me a Superdrug rep?

Anyway its up to you but I don't see what you are doing here if you don't want to share information on saving money.

A post such as the OP's is usually spam if from a new poster.

But the OP has been a member here for 4-5 years and made over 1000 posts. This doesn't tend to support the accusation of spam.

As the board guide for this board, I am satisfied that the OP has not posted spam nor have they attempted to promote a company/organisation/website they have a connection to.

Okay folks, let's stop the accusations and get this thead back on topic.;)

  • This thread might be long dead, but I've just ordered from iRugs. Foolishly or not, I took their website to be legit and ordered two rugs totalling £2250. Said they were reduced by 60% and judging by the prices for equivalent items elsewhere, their prices do look good. I also read many independent reviews which were all very good. Although I was surprised to see from the reviews that the rugs come from the USA even though they seem to have a UK website. However, the order time seemed to average around 4 days ans people in general were very complimentary about the service.
Anyway, I will update this post when I get the rugs and let you know what my view is.
    Regards

Like you, I've just picked up this thread as I'm thinking of ordering a rug from irugs and would very much appreciate hearing of your experience. I've spoken to the company and the rugs are definitely shipped from the USA and, if you want to return anything, it goes to a warehouse in Switzerland which is costly.

There are lots of online reviews about the company, and they are generally positive, although a fair few of them suggest that they ordered an item which was showing as in stock, but it wasn't so the buyer was offered an alternative.

My main reservation is that it's difficult to gauge the colours when viewed on a pc, and how accurate they colours are.

I look forward to hearing more about how you go on (as soon as possible!).
