Waiting on outcome of interview......

It is always a pain.... had an interview the other day which was fairly interesting... they admit that they have never had a project manager or worked with one so arent really sure what they want/ should be looking for and admit that each person they are seeing is changing their views of what they wanted (business -v- IT etc)
Decided fairly quickly that I didnt want that job so more than 1/2 the interview was really educating them on the differences between BAs and PMs, IT PMs and Business PMs etc.All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

LOL It sounds like they got more out of it than you did!0 -
They did... but seeing as the alternative was walking out the meeting and going back to work I thought I might as well be useful. They were a nice bunch of guys but without wanting to sound big headed they dont need someone of "my level" even though their salary range went above my current salary. I suspect that they have looked at some salary checker or spoken to a job agency and seen that project managers salaries can range from £25k to over £120k and didnt really know what to put down

After what Ive been told and how many times the company I went for interview with have changed the date theyre making a decision, then to find out theyve started interviewing more new candidates while keeping everyone holding on still I think that Im going to look elsewhere.
Whats particularly annoying is I know there are a couple of issues they arent sure of, but I dont know what they are as the agency either dont know or wont say so I cant address them!0 -
It may be not issues with you but with other candidates (eg they are uncertain on the work permit situation if they have overseas candidates) or internal ones (they may have budget for more possitions than they originally thought or the function will have slightly different responsibilities to those they originally were looking for etc)All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
