That seems a long time to wait Chris, I too am Job hunting, due to moving, so know how you feel. it seems really tough out there at the moment! I have never felt so rejected in my life...lol... from my experience you seem to be told that you have been sucessful by telephone, quite quickly and the rejection letters seem to come 7-10 days by post. Have you called them to find out where you stand today? Best of luck, keep us posted...fingers crossed for you

    Thanks Will!

Last time I spoke to the agency was Friday and basically just keep getting told that the HR & IT managers at the company are still 'deliberating' on it!

Im going to check in later this afternoon and really push to find out whats going on as having had to wait so long, and 2 weekends hasnt been much fun.

I have to say that I start to get very negative about it all and start thinking that they have offered the job to someone else and are just waiting for them to come back and accept (or reject) before contacting the 2nd /3rd place etc candidates.

I know with my current role, though I wasnt formally interviewed that 5 other applicants were (I was "invited" into the role) and as I took a week to come back to them to accept the other 5 (who had been told they would be told within a day or two) werent told the outcome until I finally accepted

Ive had a response from the agency that I am apparently 'still in the running' although they have a 'couple of concerns'?! Naturally I have asked him to be a bit more informative so I can address them.

They have also informed the agency they are now interviewing more people this week and possibly early next week while still keeping the initial people holding on!! Im not impressed
