This oil uses natural, organic ingredients. Some good reviews too, although a tad expensive.

Sorry sorry sorry.... another question!
I'm using a cheap cuticle oil that I got from Sally's at the moment. Is it worth spending a bit more on it next time like the link above? (thanks for that by the way) If so, which ones are good?
I'm trying to apply it more often and am certainly managing twice a day, but the one I have is in a glass bottle so I don't want it in my work bag or pocket as the bottle might break. I know I could decant some into a plastic bottle in the future, (current bottle is close to finished) but would one of those solid cuticle balms (I have an Avon one) or even just vaseline be as good? It would certainly be easier to keep in my pocket so it's to hand when I get a break at work.0 -
I love OPI Nail envy and avoplex cuticle oil.. and use handcream too!
I buy it online at a discount.. ebay, qvc, chemist direct etc.. never in Boots or on the high street as is very pricey!
Perfect formula brand nail treatments are meant to be good too but i've never tried it personally.0 -
Pregnancy vitamins like Pregnacare work wonders for my weak nails. I also find my skin is much clearer when I take them.0

I buy a reasonably cheap home blend one off eBay which sounds along the same lines as the one linked above.
I also use OPI Avoplex and find them both much of a muchness. I don't really see the point in spending a ton on it. If you spend too much youll be aware of the cost. In the case of oil more is better so buy something you can afford to apply liberally.
Travel wise i have Burts Bees Cuticle Balm ab OPI Avoplex to go which is a think gel consistancy. Both are good and leak proof.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
I carry a balm in my handbag and then I have the sanctuary cuticle oil on my bed side table. I don't think it's the cost of the oil but rather the massaging effect and the moisture that strengthens the nails. A good rule of thumb is every time your hands go near water put a load of hand cream on. After each meal/snack I then put cuticle oil on- it acts as a marker throughout the day as to when I should remember to help my hands.0

again what most people have already recomended, i use sweet almond oil from holland and barret for cuiticle oil and on hands, lush's lemony flutter is excellent,
as much handcream as your hands will absorb.
nail envy and i also use a pink gel from qvcLead us not into temptation...
just tell us where it is and we'll find it....0 -
In addition to the application of oils/creams you can influence the strength and condition of your nails by eating jelly...... the gelatin has a strengthening quality
Much cheaper than supplements:money:0 -

Thats an old wives tail - to get any real benefit you'd nee to eat your own body weight in jelly each week.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
Update:
Too soon to really know if it's working, but I am trying to do the cuticle oil thing more often but I'm rubbish at remembering - I get really busy at work and am not sat at a desk, so tend to forget my nails during the day. I am trying though.
Today I bought a crystal nail file from M&S as I had a £10 gift card for there. OMG it's fab!! Why have I not bought one before? It's given much smoother results much more quickly than an emery board.
Will keep nagging myself to pay attention to my nails and will see around the end of June how things are going...0
