I went to LIDL today to buy some round garlic but then I found they have bakery selling everything freshly baked now. I have to say today I have tasted the best croissants I have ever had. I am not exaggerating cus DH who is a croissant-lover thinks the same. And we all love the paper bags!
The price is 29p, and you know how much money you can save to buy it in LIDL.

So yummy yummy everyone!

The 29p croissants are an ongoing price. Not all Lidl stores have a fresh bakery section, so please check before making a special trip. Thanks to lily76 for the tip!

    Hi lily,

As your thread has dropped down the Old Style board I've moved it over to the Grocery Shopping board where more people may see your recommendation.

its not really a bakery -more an oven that warms up part baked goods -but I agree the things I have tried are good

  • Yep, buy in frozen part-baked goods, finished them off in-store and put it right at the back and draw them in like flies on you-know-what.

we've got one in ours and its brilliant - the cheesy topped rolls are divine, plus quite often they have offers on stuff, eg. the croissants will go down to 19p.

This happened to my local lidl a while ago. We got free baguettes, and I have to agree, the cheese twists, and pecan whatnots are lovely. About 4 months after doing this, they shut up shop!

its funny, I lived in Europe and every lidl has had its own bakery corner, it would be weird if there wasnt any.
