re-babylon toolbar

Hi Guys, I have inadvertantly put babylon toolbar on my pc whilst trying to get updates of openoffice.org.
As I couldn,t update the existing one, secunia psi said it was needing updating,I took it off and put new beta version on,that gave me the update, 100%,BUT, it also, gave me babylon toolbar for some reason.
Spybot, has located it, but cannot remove it,(fix)
Malwarebytes, Avast, ccleaner, nothing seems to shift it.
It doesn,t appear in add/remove, or hijackthis log.
It only shows in spybot, it comletely took over my IE and Chrome browser, at first, but got them back ok.
Any advice would be grateful.cheers

Hi santer, before I try that, i,ve twice use restore points, yesterdays, as I didn,t add openoffice till today, yet it,s still there.???

Hi, Just tried it, not even detecting it, removed 2 yahoo toolbars with it though.cheers.

Maybe system restore leaves the browsers alone

Have you checked the add ons for the browser

Just clicked on it in S&d.
(SB$DEB52F26) program directory.
C:\program data\babylon
Then shows a file folder.
Could be a bit of file left, but cannot remove??

Does it let you move the babylon folder to anywhere else, Documents etc?

If so, do that then reboot the PC

If not, then something like moveonboot would do it

hi S&d says they could be in memory(in use)???whatever that means.It,s showing, but unable to shift it. Cannot see any sign elsewhere, on browsers, tools toolbars etc.

Right click the taskbar, click task manager, click processes to look for it, if listed, left click to highlight it, then click end process

Cannot move it elsewhere. already in the fixed+restore, 65 times with facemood,115 times. so i,ve had it several times before. just purged them from s&d.
