Self Select ISA - which is best?

Hi All
What do people generally accept as the best provider for self select isa's? I've done a little research this morning and surprisingly not found a simple table that actually summarises/compares all the providers of self select ISAs, so have yielded and decided to pose the question via the forums.
My primary objective for this S&S self select ISA is to have access to a broad range of investment choices. I am very unlikely to do high volume trading, focusing more on longer-term investments in the ISA, complemented by Spread Betting for short term speculation or downside protection.
I guess I'm looking for a cheap flexible self select ISA, minimising fees and maximising choice!

I had read this amongst other online discussions, I created the thread hoping to get some feedback from the users of these discount brokers with their own experiences and preferences.0

I have used Hargreaves Lansdown for many years now and had no problems at all. The online portfolio tool is easy to use and sales/purchases of unit trusts are done within a couple of days.0

Interactive Investor and Sippdeal are possibly two that fit the bill. I have accounts with both. Interactive have had problems with slow dividend allocation since moving to their own trading platform last November but it seems to be improving in recent weeks.0 -
Hi Axion. FYI Traders Own offer a Stocks & Shares ISA, no fees, you simply pay £6 per trade for every stock you purchase in the ISA wrapper. You also earn a free equity unit (converts into shares in Traders Own Plc) with every trade. Info here http://www.tradersown.co.uk/sharedea...wn_isa_54.html0

thanks for the responses guys, the four that seemed to pop up in my research were cavendish, hargreaves lansdown, interactive investor and sippdeal.
I shall have a look into tradersown as well. Does anyone have any experience or feedback of cavendish?0 -
Unless you have stacks of cash to invest, I would forget Interactive Investor. They've just started a quarterly fee of £20 in addition to £10 per trade.0
