    Part of the Furniture
I know of one credit card issuer who if you go online to your account can pay with your credit card.

I have a balance on this account with a low interest rate so I use my other credit card to pay the monthly payment. That way I get another 50odd days interest free AND cashback for it

I also have discovered this when I inadvertantly paid online using another credit card instead of my debit card - seems very odd but it did help me out at the time!!

Creation will accept online payment by credit card. There are no charges.

But also an expensive way of doing it!

Yep, but in very rare cases it can save money.

To take an extreme example, lets suppose your CC bill is £1000 - transactions spread evenly throughout the month. You can only afford to pay £950 by the due by date, and £50 a few days later.

By failing to pay the whole balance, you will incur interest. At 2%/month (26%APR) you will probably pay around £20 interest.

But, if you pull £50 out of an ATM on a CC and use it with your £950 to pay off the full balance then you'll just pay for the withdrawal - typically pay 3%, that's £1.50. Well, there might be a minimum charge, but even so it will be less than £20. You will get some interest on the cash withdrawal - but that's likely to be peanuts over a few days.

In fact you can use the same card - robbing peter to pay... peter!
