I would say the banks do not have a specific policy in place yet, which I find suprising.
Different types of accounts are dealt with by different department, with different policies.
My guess is some of it is to do with your profitability, if you have many products, then you are profitable in many ways, just an account, then there is no incentive to keep you, so spin it out and delay.0
