goods under warranty techline

Hi,

New to the forum.

I have just bought an electronic av device and setting it up is not as straight forward as i thought but i think it may have a fault. I phoned the company and they say that for advice and tech support i have to call a premium rate number, is this correct as i dont see why i should pay a premium rate number for an item that may have a fault and is just out the box for them to tell me that it is faulty or just do this to make it work.

It was bought over the phone on account direct from wholesaler.

thanks

doug

Well, they can put any terms they want into a warranty - pretty much anyway.

What makes you think its faulty? Have you tried googling either the fault or the set up process? Have you contacted the retailer and asked them for a refund or replacement?

    Hi dougb,

I think your first port of call should be our techy board because they might be able to help you.

You'll need to edit your post to tell them what the device is and what problems you have.

I'll move the post across for you.
