Oh dear, it looks like some rapscallion has been at that 'edit' button again ...
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. Erm, no. Those costs are sunk. They are costs regardless if people park in breach or not. If I enter into a contract with a supplier (which I do a lot), I cannot claim penalties covering normal staff wages in relation to a breach.
It's a bit like complaining if a courier fails to show up, you can only claim for the 2nd/3rd day as you would have taken the first day off anyway.
But under the BPA theory if a courier doesn't show up on the day of delivery you can claim back petrol, lost wages, the cost of food & drink consumed at home waiting for the courier & money for some re-building work0 -

Brilliant edit there lol, perhaps we can do a wiki on there about private parking companies, with links to the mse & pepipoo forums, including the watchdog videos ? Maybe we should write it up here to ensure accuracy and then post it on there, we could actually link to it and update as things go on, as I think about it , it's a good idea as Wikipedia has a huge ranking on search engines. What do you think ?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!

It was already there when I looked first. I presumed it was their handywork. It was, as I said, very cleverly worded to be factual, yet clearly with their "spin" on those facts.

The thing about stickies and forums in general is that a lot of people are put off by it, some are intimidated by the registration process and the actual posting of a thread or post. By doing a wiki on private parking ourselves we can collate all the information into one area, update it as needed, and basically encourage people to read the information there without doing searches on forums.
