tell them she needs a new ding plate and one is on order but its going to take three weeks while coco the clown goes to collect it in his reliant robin with no map no GPS and only a big red nose to point him in the suppliers direction.

maybe a long story but unless you have real justifaction to keep this vehicle for three weeks, then why not hand it back and tell them to come back? unless you stripped it without getting a estimate, quote and availabilty on the part to repair.
