My car is in repairs. How can I make it seem to somebody that the repair will take a long time? I need to be able to say a few weeks!
Save in 2013: #166: 9,122.51/[STRIKE]5,000[/STRIKE] 10,000
Interest earned in 2014: £257.61 20/04/14

Random....tell the individual involved that repairs will take a few weeks...simple.
Of course if you told me your car was in for a new front bumper or a new set of shocks/springs for example and it would take 3 weeks until it was back I would know you were a liar (unless you drive something very, very rare)0 -

just say one of the parts is on back order. waiting for the supplier to get it in. the factory where the part is made is on strike. factory caught fire , supplier got robbed. theres loads if you use a bit of iniciative. think thats how it spelt.0

The probem with a lie is that when someone sees you driving round in your car before its due fixed time, the lie becomes apparent, then your word counts for nothing.
Maybe better and honourable to say what needs to be said now and negate the need for a lie.0
