I don't claim benefits, don't work either - what to do ?

    They don't overpay stamps. It's done on a weekly / fortnightly basis when you sign on. You go in, tell them about your efforts job hunting, sign the dotted line, they tap away on the keyboard and you get your NI contribution paid.

    Seriously though, if seeing fellow members of the human race and sitting on chairs that others have used is too much for you to cope with then don't bother - you'll hate the job centre (just be sure to mention your phobia to your next employer!)

    It isn't below me at all, I hate most modern buildings and most buildings in general, it's a personal thing, I have bad reactions to artificial lights in supermarkets, modern shopping centres, etc.
