You sure you weren't dogging and got lost in the woods?
I hear that happens a lot in Worksop0 -

As for Bristol, I was born there and easily get lost now! Who remembers haring up and down the escalators in the new Lewis's and Jones's to beat the clock???
Living in Worksop, 90% of people leaving the Priory carpark where you were, turn left, not right. I was under the impression that those signs were only advisory, it does not forbid a left turn as the sign is not struck through?:j Growing Older is Mandatory, Growing Up is Optional :j0 -
totallybonkers if 90% turn left then why oh why does the sign say All Routes with an arrow right? This is plainly just WRONG.
Oh and what about the T junction in front of the church, no signs to help the poor driver at all.0 -
I have no idea, I didn't put it there. But I do remember asking my Driving Instructor the same thing and he told me it's advice for the large delivery trucks that regularly get stuck in the car park that if they turn right, they will get stuck again and the main routes around the town, ie to the bypass, is found by following the advisory sign.
If you ended up wwhere I think you did, in front of the Priory, I presume there are no signs because it is not really a main road. In my experience not many towns are much better :-):j Growing Older is Mandatory, Growing Up is Optional :j0 -
This problem is all over the country.
Sometimes I think that the planners who decide what signs go where do not ever travel the roads they sign.0
