18, Years Old - 1.3k for insurance on Co-Op Young Insurance?

Hi there, i just got a quote from co-op young drivers insurance for 1.3k, the car i looked to insure was a 2003 1.2 corsa.

I tried my home address but they wouldn't even be me a quote!

So used my bros address in Dickens Heath, Bham, and got a 1.3k quote.

Here's what i put on the quote

I have got this quote off co op. Im 18, male yet to pass but heres what i did on the quote.

Said uk full passed only a few days
Driving only 1k to 2 k miles
Car be parked garage
dont drive at night
carry no passrngers
arrive at poinents usally 10 mins early
car to insure 1.2 corsa 3 door
Brother named driver held licence since 2000
He wont drive at night
he'll drive up to 16k miles

Its only the miles bit for my bro that i went OTT on but these discriminating pigs are unfair and assume all male drivers are boy racers.

I will be the main driver and brother will be named.

My question is can i get away with this if a claim were to arise?

thanks chaps! :money:

Who will do most miles in the car, you or your brother? Please be honest with your answer.

  • Me, 1000 percent me.

BUT, my brother might do 10k miles for the year, he's car is not reliable at all.

What i am most worried about is if i had to make a claim, i guess they would look at the policy?

Someone could easily do 5 - 10k miles in 2 months.. hmm

if you are the main driver then you need to declare that. If the car is being kept at your address then you also need to insure it at that address.

  • I will be the main driver, i put that down at that down, just the address bit....

What i really would like to know can i get away with it, the only thing wrong is saying address is at bro's address instead of mine.... but he might keep the car at his that's the thing!
  • I'm not going to take out this policy anyway, and the names used in the policy is fake. Go on, be my guest, but you would be wasting your time. Bob.

So you lied because you said you'd do 2000 miles, your brother would do 16,000 miles but you've admitted you'll be driving more than him so you can't do just 2000 miles can you?

In fact you would have committed insurance fraud if you applied. In the event of a claim, the insurance company would pay out the third party then take you to court for the amount they paid out. You'd not get a penny.
  • 18 years old and cannot even spell.

Exactly what does "arrive at poinents usally 10 mins early".

Carry on like that and you will not need a car as no employer will give you a job.
  • Sticks and stones :)

You still cannot spell and resort to childish insults when anybody questions your capabilities.

Its a sad indication that you are incapable of expressing yourself clearly and formulating a simple sentence.

What hope do you have in life if you cannot respond without calling people names and trying to bring them down to your level.

As for trolling, then I have better things to do. I was merely observing that if your trying to commit insurance fraud you should at least be able to explain what you mean when making rather stupid errors.

Poor attention to detail will mean most employers won't bother looking at a cv and offering a postion.

Perhaps you should stick to watching the football rather than trying to be clever, as you clearly fail at that as well. Can we assume that you can at least spell "fail"

They will take your money laughing as they know they will never have to payout.

Your brother lives how far from you and shares the car?

Not sure what insurance company ask you how early you arrive for appointments? Me im always late should i tell them that so they know i wont drive like a looney to get there on time?

Your going to need to pass your test and get a decent job before you think of getting a car. A job the insurance companies like. No need to worry about being reported from this site.

That member will have his own issues soon, Buying a clapped out BMW from a dodgy geezer pretending its a private sale.
Will be too busy trying to track him down and claim his money back.
