Helllllllllooooooooooo????? Post #18 Show me where I said it to you? Actually, don't bother because I didn't ...

I gave you a very, very fair first comment that perhaps someone with the knowledge you seek might be along later on. I hope to goodness that they see you acting like a spoilt little brat and keep their wisdom to themselves :D

Oh, and why would I be in the least bothered that my comments are recorded forever? I'm not throwing my teddies ...

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

Oh well! I don't expect you to have any advice - all being consumed by your own issues and concerns in the UK and what or what not you can get - in benefits.

My question was a genuine one but I figure I should ask an ex pat forum and / or t people who are'nt sooo single minded and trapped.

your posts are all so interesting and the same as the ones posted 8 years ago, last I looked!

of course thats rubbish and abit rube tbh
however let me explain what would happen if you were still in the uk
when you are transfered to esa you get cont based for 12 months, after that you move to income based HOWEVER if you have savings then you wont get income based if they are over the limit, you would have to live off those savings/sign on for jsa
no one can decide whats best for you to do now

Mind you, some of us could make a few pretty good suggestions!;)
  • My mother is due to inherit approx £40k from her father
She was currently in receipt of the following benefits

    Ctax benefit
    Housing benefit
    Income support ?
    Pension credit

I know that she will immediately lose her ctax and housing benefit
Until she gets under £16k , but what happens with her pension ie will the pension credit stop ?

    Thanx

Seriously poor choice of threads to post your question in...start a new thread. Not sure why she gets income support at the same time as PC ?

Income support will stop, but why is she getting it anyway?

PC will reduce by approx £60 per week.....assuming she has not got much savings already????

OP, you will have at some point a medical to go to, if you fail it, your ESA will stop immediately not after 12 months, then you would have to appeal.

If I were you, I would start looking in to what benefits are available in the country you have chosen to live in.
