I looked for these in my nearest Poundland, but they didn't have any. It wasn't a very big store or food section, though.

PS. I did find a butcher, selling cricket ball sized faggots for 40p each, so it wasn't a wasted journey.

I am a stickler for the waitrose essential whole plum or chopped tomatoes; quality is better than any others I have tried and they are not watery so in recipes where I used to have to use two tins to get the depth of flavour I only need to use one and can add more stock or water, they ain't cheap but I only get them from ocado when there is a massive discount on my shopping then I class them as one of my 'free' items xx

B&M are selling chopped toms with basil for 4 for £1. I got 8 at the weekend and stocked up as already have lots left from poundland.

From tomorrow Tesco have 400g cans of Cook Italian Chopped or Plum Tomatoes on a 3 for £1.00 offer.

more calories means more tomato (& tomato byproducts!)
no calories in water
