O2 do still do this, but you may need to escalate to the complaints department...
I had an issue with them not closing one of my accounts which then starting charging me money. When I rang up normal customer service they said they couldn't transfer it to my other account, but when I wrote a letter to the complaints department a guy called me up and said that transferring across to my other account was no problem and that normal customer service should have been able to do it for me.
The one proviso is that it the other account is in your name as well - they told me they are not able to transfer credit to a different person's account as there are fraud implications.
Hope this helps.

It maybe hasn't been invented in T yet, but it works on other network. As above, I did it on Orange this morning with a phone and sim I bought yesterday, moved the £10 credit onto my wife payg acc, no problem...
...how did you do this...via an orange shop or did you phone them? What info did you need to provide??0 -
That post was made 15 months ago...No free lunch, and no free laptop0

And I'm still here !! How sad is that !
You need to call payg CS, clear security on one number. Tell them what you want to do. Clear security on the other number (if its in your name, or get the owner to do it if its not) and then they'll move the credit over for you. Job done...0 -
Or you could just pop the other SIM into your phone and use up the credit that way. Since both are Orange SIM's, there's no unlocking issue. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

i've recently notice that you can get a free itunes film every thursday with orange. I'm currently with virgin mobile and want to know if there is a way to transfer credit from my current sim card to an orange sim.
also is it worth getting an orange sim for that deal, perhaps there a some strings attached.:o0 -

It would not be possible to transfer credit from Virgin to Orange. They are separate companies.0
