Cancelling a sold item

I'm a newbie to selling on ebay, but I listed an item for sale stating local pick up only (no postage) The item sold and I promptly received an email asking for delivery costs - to which I replied pointing out that the listing stated local pick up only and I wasn't going to post. TBH I think the buyer was just a bit thick…

Thanks - I'll keep the mutual feedback thing in mind - once I've left some of course !

I'm really off the idea of selling at the moment - I've only listed two things so far and the other one still hasn't left me any feedback a over week after he received the item.

Will see how this goes, but taking the idea of setting up another account very seriously.
