I too am giving some serious consideration to my target - I joined wanting to lose 6 stones - ie 11 stone 9.5lbs, but decided to rethink to 10 stone 7lbs (100lbs off).
I have never agreed a final target with S/W - so now i am rethinking again....
Piglet - I don't think you're copping out at all! You have an incredible record! Truely awesome!
If you decide that you have reached your target you can always reset it later - 7lbs lower. You can go 3lbs lower and still be in target - if you then lose another 2lbs you only have to lose another 2 to have lost an extra half stone! Hope that makesa sense!
Congrats to got there - and piglet - both you guys are a massive inspiration to all the posters on this thread....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

When I saw my brother last week he seemed to be really concerned, he said I had gone way too far and I was bordering on the obsessive with what the scales say.
He said that if I did lose anymore then I would be looking gaunt and haggard. He really does not want to see me in that place.
He said I need to accept that I am now in a size that I am comfortable with ( 14 and also just 1 pair of 12 jeans ) and stop being ridiculous about the number on the scales.
Last night at weigh in others were saying the same.
In fact for the last few weeks at weigh in when I only lost 0.5 or 1 or STS it was mentioned then that maybe it was my body telling me that I had gone far enough, and as usual I dismissed it as rubbish. :rotfl:
So then my dilemma began, what should I do? Am I letting myself down, the super people on this thread that have helped and supported me? Would people think I have copped out at the last hurdle? All these thoughts ran through my head, and then I said oh what the hell, go for it and be done.
When my award was given to me I did not feel happy, I hadn't previously thought about how I would feel anyway, but something didn't sit right. A real sense of guilt overcame me and I felt sad, that I was accepting this award under false pretences.
So after a sleepless night came to the conclusion that there are some good things about it, firstly that I don't need to pay as long as I abide by the rules. The pressure is off me now and I can relax knowing that I don't need to lose a certain amount before my holiday.
Also it keeps my family happy too, and I can now count on the support of my wonderful kids and partner to help me in the difficult months ahead as regards my maintaining.
Piglet, now I have done it, do you still think you should do the same?
I really do think you should, but that can only come from yourself and no one else. After all they say you should lose weight for your own reasons and not for someone else, so the same saying goes as regards calling it a day.
I fully intend, as I'm sure you do too, to lose that bit more to round off to the six stone or six stone three and give yourself a buffer. But do it without any stress involved.
I think now that I can lighten up the scales will be kind to me. :rotfl:
For each and everyone that has supported me, put up with my moans and groans, :rotfl: read my posts and took the time to reply with some wonderful words of encouragement, I want to thank you all :T:T
The list of names is endless, but there are quite a few that stand out for me, such as evilsquid, lamarsi, shelliehollie, piglet74, medmum, becks81?, blackberryrum, lalamb, kandfsmam, cyclingyorkie, flateric, blodwen, takeiteazy, KKK41, snoopy58, and saras999,invisibleyousee, sorry for not remembering all your names off by heart, but you all have been my inspiration and you all know who you are !:A:A
And by the way, I am still here, moaning and groaning :rotfl::rotfl: and probably always will.
Thank You x :j x  xx
Got there!
i am TOTALLY the same!!!
i am in a size i am comfy...in fact...i am wearing a size 14 jeans to work today, because they are now TOO big and baggy to wear anywhere else...so they will now do me for work! only have them 8weeks!!!
not very :money: at all!!!!
and i have also been told the same about the next part.....people were saying "you dont have it to loose any more"!! so now i am beginning to think they are right!;)
your right about the next bit, i think we will maybe do a bit better with the pressure off a wee bit!!!:j
i am currently 12.7, with 5 stone 8 off, so what i think i will do, is change my target to 5.11, then if i get the extra 3lbs allowed within target, that will take me to 6 stone off, if i dont, so what!
that would leave me 12.4 and 5 ft 6, still technically "overweight",:o but at a size 12....will i even care0 -
Piglet, Sounds grand to me!
CyclingYorkie, go for it too!
And you know what?
I feel much better now.
thanks all xx

thank you,
i am delighted you feel better about it now, like myself, you maybe felt you just needed a wee bit of reassurance from this lovely bunch that it wasnt a cop out,
i have convinced myself now, that i am not either
i give myself 52 weeks to loose 5 stone 3,
and in 42 i have lost 5 stone 8, so i need a shake
CY, are you thinking of taking your target down, or putting it back to your original one?0 -
I'm thinking of going back to 11 stone 9'5lbs - 6 stone off.
Still doesn't get me out of the 12's - I am waiting for my consultant to ring re FF - she was supposed to ring an hour ago!
I will have a go - but it's going to be a faff!
The support from here and the support from my 2 mates in group have kept me going! you lot are amazing!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
