Hi everyone I have a question and wondered if anyone can answer please?

I have added it onto my original question because it's all related and didn't want to create a new thread.

Basically a taxi ran into the back of me over a year ago and I am still in agony to date.

It's causing neck and shoulder pain but I'm also having vertigo due to a permanent earache and an ongoing feeling of being smacked around the back of the head. I had to see a doctor arranged through my solicitor and he will say I need to see an ENT specialist plus more physio - oww lol.

My q is will this case only be settled once I am fully recovered? because at this rate it will take forever. Is there a cut off where it is considered that recovery will take a very long time to not fully?

It's making me bad tempered tbh  because I'm fed up of being in agony.

Just a little update ( not that anyone is keeping up lol)

I have had the medical report and the doc is recommending an MRI scan of my spine, an ultrasound scan of my shoulder and to see an ENT specialist re the ear ache and vertigo.

I've told the solicitors to go ahead and book these for me but it isn't half a nuisance.

I don't think I'm ever going to get back to normal and it's been 16 months now and still I am in agony especially with my ear. If it's hot it hurts really bad I suppose due to the body trying to cool itself and if it's cold it hurts a lot - otherwise it just plain hurts!

If I could turn the clock back I would have taken the day off!

thanks for the update, things will settle down in time, so don't despair.

If something like this ever happens again and you've done nothing wrong. This is the way to do it.

Inform your insurance and make sure you tell them it is for 'information only'

Contact the third party insurance proving the third party has admitted liability. They will tell you to take your car for a quote,( and remember, you have the choice of which garage you can use) the garage does the quote and contacts the insurance people direct. They instruct the garage to go ahead, you take your car in, they mend it, you go pick your car up, that is the end of your involvement. The garage invoices the insurance company, who then pay the bill.
It;s happened to me twice now. Of course, its different if you have an injury. But all mine was sorted in less than 10 days. Get well soon lol
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
